Thanks for your interest in ‘Landmark Adventures’ which was created for those that wish to take on real expeditions with real people. There are so many out there offering ‘Extreme’ that the word has little meaning. We take it seriously.

‘Landmark Adventures’ is about conveying our passion for challenge in a safe and professional manner. We feel that it is our experience, background and attitude that set’s us apart. The core comprises of
Alan Chambers MBE and Pete Goss MBE both known for their exploits, professionalism and willingness to share their passion and knowledge with others.

The catalyst for Landmark adventures was a gratifying cup of tea and bacon sandwich at the North Pole in April 2003 – it seemed a good reason for going. We had had such a good trip that we decided to open the opportunity up for other spirited people. Indeed, in the longer term we would like to add other adventures of a similar magnitude.

Real, safe, fun and challenging are our watch words. Anything we do has to be a genuine expedition within a reasonable timeframe so that it can be shoe horned into a busy schedule. Only the best equipment will be used and proper training in a fun environment is essential. We would like for us to become life long friends, in fact we see this becoming a club of like minded people who have a new and exciting project on an ongoing basis.

Anyone can come provided they have the right attitude and are prepared to work, with our support, on any shortfall that they might have. We also have a policy of not taking individuals whose attitude will not fit in with the team. These are life changing trips and there isn’t room for characters that might spoil it for all concerned.

2004 saw the second trip with fourteen people to the Pole and ‘Landmark Adventures’ evolved out of the lessons that we learnt. We fly up to 89 degree’s North and walk the last degree to the North Pole which, as the crow fly’s, is 60 Nautical miles and represents about 12 days on the ice.

Remember, no prior knowledge is required as we have a structured training programme. 2005 has an age range of thirty five to sixty.

So, if you feel the idea of a cup of tea and bacon sandwich at the top of the world sounds exciting. Pick up the phone, email or write.
